Being healthy is not an easy task. It requires forward-thinking and planning. It also requires dedication. Therefore in order to lose weight healthily, as a family, you may need to make some changes. Obesity is incredibly common, and while you may think a few extra pounds won’t do any harm, it can indeed create issues. Therefore, you must act sooner rather than later. First rule: Keep a personal and orderly tracking log and set yourself the destination/final goal in advance. When setting your goal, it is important to do so according to your age, height and current body weight.

The second rule: Try to maintain a balanced eating menu that includes, as far as possible within the diet, a variety of nutrients from the different food groups.

Rule three: Try to avoid skipping meals. The same study showed that people who keep a follow-up dairy lose on average more than people who don't also show that people who eat at least three meals a day lose more weight than others. It also makes quite sense that if someone eats only 2 meals a day they will compensate for the third meal by overeating between meals.

The fourth rule:
Try to eat homemade food. It is full of rich ingredients that will fill you up, you know what has gone into the food that you make and you can control your portions. Often restaurants bring larger portions and you find the room to eat it all. However, this isn’t necessarily the best option for your body. Overeating leads to weight gain.

The fifth rule: be sure to drink water. There is a negative correlation between drinking water and losing weight – the more water you drink, the thinner you can become. Water is both thirsty and fills the stomach, all with 0 calories. The recommended daily amount of water drinking is 3 liters (about 13 cups) for men and 2.2 (about 9 cups) for women. It also hydrates the body to flush out harmful toxins and keeps our bodies in a better state of being.
Will a low calorie diet help?

We see many diet fads and many of them simply don’t work. This is because a lot of diets that people choose to adhere to are not sustainable. They are a quick fix. Then simply, they return to old habits. Losing weight in a healthy way, means changing your habits slowly but surely. A low calorie diet can help you lose weight. It may also mean you lose energy. However, this isn’t to say it won’t work for you. Cutting calories to the recommended amount is good. However, all diets must be combined with exercise. Exercise is vital for our energy and fitness. If we don’t move our bodies, the weight finds it easier to pile on. Here are some things to consider for a low calorie diet:

A fruit diet, for example, will provide the body with the level of sugar it needs naturally. Also, fruits contain fiber that causes a quick feeling of satiety. Try to put as much fruit on your diet menu as possible.

Like fruits, vegetables also have a similar effect on the human body. Eating multiple vegetables will also cause a feeling of satiety quickly.

Eating foods made from whole grains instead of processed foods.

Eating foods rich in healthy proteins: beef, chicken breast (skinless) and soy, nuts and beans if you happen to be vegetarian.

Try to eat low-fat dairy products (cheeses, yogurt, etc.).

Put only healthy oils in your body: if you cook, then make sure we cook with healthy oil like olive oil or canola oil.

Try to compare the amount of calories you consume to the one you burn during each day and keep it more or less balanced.

Don't stop eating carbs altogether, but you'll definitely try to eat foods that are less high in carbohydrates. Give yourself a period of time to do your diet and when it's over, go back to eating carbs. Not eating carbohydrates for an extended period increases the chances of heart disease and other side effects such as headaches, dizziness, weakness, loss of concentration, constipation and bad breath.
