Fashion Staples You Can Get For Your Partner

Wednesday, February 26, 2020

Every year we believe we have finally cracked our own personal style. Then suddenly, a range of stunning shoes and neon brights hit the market - and suddenly - that’s all gone. And it’s isn’t just women who have that - although we do have more variety in clothing options, some might argue.

So how can you help your partner build a gorgeous closet full of fashion staples that will last for ages?

Obviously, we don’t want to change our loved ones, but we can help them create their own personal style. Staples can pretty much go with anything, which means no matter what you opt for, you are destined to do well.

T-shirt
A plain white t-shirt, a black one and a grey one can be the bastion of simplicity and ease. They go with anything and are really easy to grab and go. Rather than opts for a really cheap one, go for a mid-ranged cotton type. It will be soft, wash well, and less likely to find those stray threads all over. T-shirts are one of the easiest things to style.

Jeans
Not everyone loves skinny jeans. A great pair of jeans is typically straight-legged, slim, but not skinny, and blue is a classic that will never die.

Shirts
Button-down shirts can go from office to restaurant without breaking a sweat. And when you find ones in the right size, they look stunning. You can wear them under a crew neck jumper, and they work with slim chinos and a chunky belt. But just as easy with jeans and shoes for an office casual vibe. You don’t have to stick with white, but they are the most versatile. Pale blue works well too.

Chelsea Boots
If you want to give your partner something that is super understated and chic - but works with everything, then think about Chelsea boots. If you are getting more than one item, then you can get a belt to match, so they always have a fallback. Chelsea boots are comfortable all year round too.

Blazer
You need to be careful with blazers because the cheaper ones aren’t cut as well as the more high-end ones. A brushed cotton will mean that it can last all year because you can layer under and over it. If you want to help your partner create a capsule-style wardrobe, then start adding navy, tans, blacks, and whites to the mix. That way, they can wear anything they have with the blazer, and it will look amazing.

Sunnies
They say that wayfarer glasses suit every face shape. So they are a safe bet if you want to add a touch of glam but also practicality to your partner’s wardrobe.

When it comes to putting together the perfect fashion staples for your partner, you know them best. So you have the advantage when you are making purchases.

“Fashion is what you’re offered four times a year by designers. And style is what you choose.” — Lauren Hutton
