Microfiber Mop Floor Cleaning System and Bona Floor Cleaners Review

Monday, November 4, 2019

We recently updated our bathroom floor, which was originally a white carpet. Yes, I just said carpet in the bathroom. We now have bamboo flooring. Another shocker is that we have another bathroom in the house with carpet. We all know that with hardwood floors, they require being cleaned differently than laminate and other floors. Cleaning a hardwood floor with a dry mop is typical for many. However, there are several dry mops on the market that don’t really withstand long wear and the poles are plastic. The Microfiber Mop Floor Cleaning System’s material will leave you immediately impressed.
The adjustable handle is made of aluminum alloy. Not only is it sturdy, but being able to adjust the height is a huge deal, especially when heights in my house range from 6 ‘1" to 5 ’0" with the people that help clean the floor.  A lot of previous dry floor mops offered plastic handles with no adjustable abilities. This alone is a huge plus in the mop. The swivel head is also nice, as it allowed me to slide it up under furniture or into tight places.
The cleaning system comes with 4 different pads, these being 2 microfiber pads and 2 scratch pads. They easily attach to the system with velcro which works great. The velcro is much better quality than other velcro’s on mops I’ve previously used. The pads stay in place without sliding or falling off. The microfiber pads work great. They pick up so much surface dirt. I tested this by sweeping with a traditional broom and then with the microfiber pad and as you can tell it still picked up a lot. My floors look so much more shiner and clean. Plus, these pads double as a wet mop too. I can spray Bona floor cleaners on the floor and mop with the same microfiber pads.
I also got to test the Bona Stone, Tile & Laminate Floor Cleaner Spray and the Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner. These cleaners work great and are very easy to use. Spray the floor, use the microfiber pad, and clean. The sprays dried quickly, leaving no residue or sticky feeling behind. They have left my floors looking and feeling clean, and they smell great too.

When I am done using the microfiber pads, I can wash them in the washer and let them air dry. After several weeks and several washes, these pads have held up and they continue to leave me happy with clean floors.

I wouldn’t use the heavy-duty scratch pads on surfaces are to remain free of scratches. They are very heavy duty.
