Bandai Namco Blast Retro/Classic Plug & Play Review {2018 Holiday Gift Guide}

When I was younger, I remember playing different games like Mario, Donkey Kong, Pac-Man and so many more. There is something about these retro games that takes you back to when you were a kid. They are simple, fun, and at times would have us crying in frustration because we couldn’t beat a level. Recently, I had the chance to work with At Games on a review. They were kind enough to send my family the Bandai Namco Blast Retro/Classic Plug & Play. Not only did my husband and I love it because we played these games when we were younger, but the kids had a blast trying them out for themselves as well.
The Bandai Namco Flashback Blast comes with an HDMI dongle, 8 greatest Bandai Namco games built in and a 2.4G wireless game controller. The controller does require 2x AAA batteries. The dongle also comes with the charging cord but you will need to plug it into any USB port charger. It does not come with a charger but USB chargers are a dime a dozen, so this was not an issue. The controller and HDMI dongle was easy to set up.

The family had a blast playing with the Bandai Namco Flashback Blast. The 8 games are very nostalgic and really take you back to being a kid. The controller and dongle work flawlessly together without any issues of skipping or freezing. The controller itself is very easy to use. All the buttons work great and the controller fits comfortably in everyone's hands from our 5-year-old to us adults.

The picture quality of the games is perfect. They look great with the 720P high resolution. I love how you can easily take this from room to room, in the car, and on trips. Everyone in the family is loving our new plug & play. We have a 1080p TV and there were no display issues. There are a lot of low-quality retro consoles on the market, but this is definitely not one of those. It has a quality feel and is surprisingly durable. The hi-definition with HDMI port are modern and make this item a cut above most of the competition. We definitely recommend this for you and your family.
