Real Shades Sunglasses & Screen Shades {Review & Giveaway} CLOSED

Eye protection is very important for all ages. Everyone in our house wears sunglasses to protect our eyes from the damaging and lasting effects of the sun. Other than the sun’s rays, there are other hazards our eyes encounter regularly. The blue light from electronic screens can put a lot of strain and stress on your eyes. It also keeps us awake. Many of us may not realize this because we are used to looking at television’s, computers, tablets, and phones all day. All of these things do have lasting effects on our eyes. Real Shades was kind enough to send my little girl a variety of products to try out. During our review, we received: screen shades (pink), sunglasses (pink), 3-in-1 microfiber cover up (2), and two emoji clips.

The screen shades are amazing and are perfect for my little girl with them being pink. The screen shades are offered in a variety of colors: black, neon blue, neon green, neon orange, neon pink, and red. The size that she received is perfect for ages 4-6, however, Real Shades do offer screen shades in bigger sizes.

My little girl spends more time on electronics that she should, I will be the first to admit it. She consumes a lot from learning shows and games. I do find myself having her do other things to give her eyes a rest from the blue lights from our everyday electronics. I thought that the screen shades would be a great thing if I could get her to keep them on. 

When we received the screen shades Lillian immediately wanted to try them out. They are lightweight, impact resistant, and offer amazing optical clarity. The glasses block 65% of blue light and provide 100% UVA/UVB protection. My little girl can wear these for hours without any complaint of discomfort. With her being 5, I cannot say for sure exactly how much these are helping her eyes (I am definitely NOT an optometrist), but knowing the protection that they offer makes me happy. A small barrier might have a big positive effect on her little eyes. If she gets in the habit of wearing them to play her games and watch her shows because they “are cool”, that would be great!

I love knowing that my little girl’s eyes are protected every time she steps outside even during the winter months. During the winter months, I always try to keep my kids wearing sunglasses to protect their eyes. These glasses offered mirrored lenses, are shatterproof, and look pretty stylish! 

We also received two 3-in-1 microfiber cover-up’s for each pair of glasses. These are amazing! You can attach them to the glasses which allows them to easily lay around your neck, and the strap can be used to wipe the glasses. The coolest part is that it also stores your glasses. The cover-up literally folds around your glasses to protect and store them. These are amazing!

My little girl loves the added emojis. These were a nice little extra in the goodie box. I am very impressed with the quality and style of the Real Shades glasses.
