When it’s time to go to a restaurant, whether he’s with a parent or family member, Lou knows what to expect and how to handle himself. Lou’s bubble wand will help him be successful in any social situation that could be a challenge for him, such as waiting to be seated, ordering from the me
nu or waiting for others to finish their food.

Each story in the Lou Knows What to Do Series is written to show children how an intriguing character such as Lou can be comfortable and successful in any situation that could be a challenge.

THOUGHTS

Lou Knows What to Do: is a book series intended to familiarize kids with different situations that they might not have yet been introduced to. The restaurant book, is naturally, about restaurant culture. It tells the tale of a little boy named Lou, who helps kids learn about different social situations with the help of his magic bubble wand. Throughout the book, kids learn about different types of restaurants, how some are loud or quite, what a hostess is, how to order food, and so much more.

Each time there is something new to be learned, each paragraph starts off saying ‘Lou knows’. There are nice illustrations that go perfectly with each new situation that you are learning about. At the end of the book, there are tips for teachers and questions to ask. This is such a cute story to help teach your little ones about eating in restaurants at home and at school. The book introduces children to different cultures, as well as important concepts, such as manners and behavior. I highly recommend this book to help children learn at a crucial young age.
