The Wolverine Blu-ray Review 'Holiday Gift Guide 2013'

Thursday, December 12, 2013

Hugh Jackman returns as The Wolverine and faces his ultimate nemesis in an action packed life-or-death battle that takes him to modern day Japan. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his limits, Logan confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality; an epic fight that will leave him forever changed.

My hubby has always been a huge fan of the X-Men characters. However, Wolverine happens to be his favorite. So when we had the chance to review the latest Wolverine movie, my hubby was more than excited to take an evening from college and watch the movie. Hugh Jackman does yet another amazing job at portraying the Wolverine character. This movie offers nonstop action from the beginning to end with very little slow-down between the excitement.  Hugh Jackman has always taken the role of Wolverine seriously, and it shows a little more with each of his offerings. Wolverine has become his staple role and he has fit the bill nicely, warranting this return in yet another comic-inspired outing.

I am personally not into comic book movies but this particular movie really had me drawn in. The storyline was amazing, the acting spot on, and the action was exactly what you would expect when it comes to a movie of this caliber. Many of the characters in the movie are skilled fighters, yet the only mutant is Wolverine.  While this movie is tied to the x-men franchise, it is not an x-men movie. This does not detract from the experience however, and I am recommending this movie for anyone who enjoys good cinema-comic action. It would make a perfect stocking stuffer this holiday season.

This movie was a huge hit with hubby and I personally found the movie to be quit entertaining as well.
