Carmex Healing Cream & Lotion Review/Giveaway

Thursday, April 4, 2013

I am so happy Spring is here! Unfortunately the winter weather is going to keep its cold face just a little while longer. Which means we are still going to have to wear hats, gloves and scarves. This means we are still going to have chapped lips, hands and faces. This is where Carmex comes into play. Carmex offers a wide range of products to help with the skin issues we will continue to have while the seasons are changing. I was recently sent the Hydrating Lotion and also the Healing Cream along with a really cool yellow Carmex hoodie.
I have actually used both of these products in the past, we have used them this winter to keep our skin healthy. The lotion is very light and is perfect for everyday use. While the cream is more for moments when you have really dry skin and need more intensive treatment. Both products work great and really help with those skin issues we deal with in the winter months.

Both products carry the signature Carmex scent. It reminds me of playdough which I didn't even realize until my kids pointed it out. Each product offers Vitamin E and Aloe Vera, which really helps in hydrating your skin and not leaving a greasy feeling behind. I am very happy that these products are sensitive enough to use on my kid's skin. kids are always the ones to get the chapped cheeks and hands the most. Carmex has helped with this so much.

I have to also say thank you to Carmex for sending me a really nice yellow braned Carmex hoodie. It is perfect for my early morning when I am putting my kids on the bus and I don't want to get my big coat on.

You can show some love by liking Carmex on Facebook and on Twitter.

About the company: Carmex lip balm was invented in 1937 by Alfred Woelbing, literally on the family stovetop. For the next 20 years, Alfred and his wife made Carmex by hand and poured it into the familiar yellow-capped jars. Eventually production moved out of the Woelbing home and into a rented facility in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, where it remained until the move in 1975 to its current site in Franklin, Wisconsin. Carma Labs employs about 100 people and is still owned and operated by the family: Alfred's grandsons Eric and Paul Woelbing. The Woelbing stove is now used for cooking things the family can actually eat.
Where to purchase: You can here to see what retailers in your area carries Carmex. Prices will vary depending on where you purchase.
