Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender Lead an Extraordinary Cast in the Epic Sci-Fi Thriller Debuted on Blu-ray 3D,
Blu-ray and DVD 10~9~12
Prometheus star MichaelFassbender impressed us all with his acting skills as David, a shockingly human-like android. He is the latest model in a long line of movie androids that have touched our lives. Check out some of these other cinematic robot favorites.

You might say this little guy is the Swiss Army Knife of robots because he has it all. He can put out a fire but only after he’s hacked your spaceship’s mainframe and ejected a spare light-saber from one of his hidden compartments. He may not speak English, but his actions speak ten times louder; he is one brave little unit.
Johnny 5

“Strategic Artificially Intelligent Nuclear Transport,” the SAINT 5, nicknames himself Johnny 5 and breaks ground for robots everywhere when he actually comes to life and later becomes an American citizen. With Ally Sheedy and Steve Guttenberg as friends, he is the quintessential 80s robot.

In the year 2035 a techno-phobic cop (Will Smith) investigates a crime that may have been perpetrated by a robot, which leads to a larger threat to humanity. It all comes down to Sonny, who exhibits signs of a violent temper during an interrogation at the police station.
The Terminator

Everyone’s favorite “Governator” stars as theCyberdyne Systems Model 101, sent back from the post-apocalyptic future to kill Sarah Connor, the mother of future earth’s savior, John Connor. Do not be fooled by his tough-guy skin, he is a ruthless killing machine.

In Terminator 2, Robert Patrick’s T-1000 makes the original model look like your BFF’s dad. While Schwarzenegger’s robot is more affable in this sequel, the T-1000 is made of liquid metal, and can dissolve and reassemble at will, turn hands into weapons, and let bullets pass through his body.

USS Enterprise Lieutenant Commander Data is essentially a walking, talking computer, with strength to match his mental prowess. But Data also possesses a Pinocchio-like desire to be “real” and ultimately adapts to an emotion chip.
Dot Matrix

Stylish to the core with a skirt, skates and an immaculate hair-do, Dot, voiced by the hilarious Joan Rivers, is tasked with tolerating and teaching Princess Vespa. She comes equipped with a very helpful “virgin alarm,” which is “programmed to go off before you do.”
The Iron Giant

The titular hero of the 1999 animated movie is self-repairing, but hindered by a defense mechanism that reacts rather violently and automatically to provocation. But this super-sized alien who crashes in small-town America in the 1950s also experiences grief, empathy and loads of heroism.
