Sample The Unique Flavor of TV’s Tastiest Comedy
Was On DVD April 17

The Belcher family cooks up more chaos when the sizzling animated series comes to DVD April 17th from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. The #1 animated premiere of the 2010-2011 season, “BOB’S BURGERS” is a flavor sensation filled with quirky characters and unforgettable antics!

“BOB’S BURGERS” follows a third-generation restaurateur, Bob Belcher who runs Bob's Burgers with the help of his wife and their three kids. Despite his greasy counters, lousy location and occasionally spotty service, Bob is convinced his burgers speak for themselves. Featuring the voice talents of H. Jon Benjamin (“Archer”) and Kristen Schaal (“Flight of the Concords”), “Bob’s Burgers” is a hilarious comedy about one unconventional family that will have you coming back for seconds.
Bob’s Burgers is a fresh new adult cartoon-comedy series. I was selected to review the entire first season and found out very quickly that the show is a completely unique and promising new viewing option. Going up against other giants of the genre, like Family Guy and American Dad won’t be easy, but Bob’s Burgers is entertaining enough to hold its own and I think it will continue on into many more interesting seasons.

The plot of each episode is built around the belcher family restaurant. The food is nowhere near as dysfunctional as the family. Bob has three children and a wife that love him very much. That love does little to keep them from practically ruining everything that Bob has built on a daily basis. The mother is kind and patient and plays the wisdom bringer in many of the situations, of course being a comedy; this is often left open to interpretation.

The show isn’t quite as offensive as some other adult comedies have proven in the past. It is full of its fair share of funny and entertaining jokes. The hardest part about writing a show like this would have to be coming up with material that is not only original enough, but also funny enough to survive for years while not boring the audience. So far, Bob’s Burgers has done a good job at delivering content that is fresh, fun, and full of surprises and laughs. Check it out and add some much needed laughter to your programming.
