Dolph Lundgren Stars in the Action-Packed Sequel

From horror-mastermind Uwe Boll (House of the Dead,  Bloodrayne) comes the adrenaline-fueled next chapter in the epic action/adventure franchise as IN THE NAME OF THE KING 2: TWO WORLDS  battles on to Blu-ray and DVD from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Dolph Lundgren (The Expendables, Masters of the Universe) stars as Granger, a lethal, ex-Special Forces soldier who finds himself transported back to a mystical age of sorcery, dragons and savage hand-to-hand combat.  This modern-day warrior has been summoned to defeat the forces of darkness and fulfill an ancient prophecy.  But as he fights his way to the truth, Granger learns no one can be trusted -- and one wrong move could cost him not only his life, but the future of his world.

I did not know what to expect when I popped this movie into my player. Admittedly, none of my friends or family have seen or even heard of it, which is weird, considering it's a sequel. Such is usually the case with straight to DVD movies. There is generally a smaller budget than big ticket films, meaning less advertisement, among other omissions. This is definitely one of those movies. This is not a bad thing, as it seems to work for this movie.

Though the movie was not in the commercial spotlight, it did feature Dolph lundgren. Everyone who enjoys Dolph's style will be pleased with this film, as it displays a character that is closer to his personality, I think, than any other role he has previously taken. He made me laugh more than once with his clever quips.

If you like fantasy movies, action movies, or any movie with a compelling story, this film should find a home in your collection, and fit in nicely. I love the adventure, and the unbelievable twists that make a fantasy a true fantasy. I love the dragon, which was rendered skillfully and looked very real.

As much as I want to tell you exactly what happens, I won't. I am recomending this movie for anyone, it is appropriate for your teenagers as well. Watch it with an open mind, it will take your imagination for a drive.

With supporting performances from Natassia Malthe (Bloodrayne, Lake Placid), Lochlyn Munro (The Benchwarmers, White Chicks) and Aleks Paunovic (This Means War, I Spy), the IN THE NAME OF THE KING 2: TWO WORLDS  Blu-ray and DVD are loaded with bonus material including Behind the Scenes, Commentaries from the Director and Writer plus more.
