Playful Planet "Storyland Yoga" For Kids DVD Review/Giveaway

It is so funny to watch my kids try to do Yoga along side me. Of course, they are more limber then me so they can do the moves a lot better then I can. I feel though that the yoga DVD's that I have just are not kid friendly enough. I feel that the instructor should be like a big kid themselves but still portray an instructor feel to them. The kids yoga DVD should also have a kid atmosphere and feel to it, along with kid moves would be great.  When I had the chance to do a review for Playful Planet on their Storyland Yoga DVD I knew right away that my kids would have a blast. I mean anything other then my yoga DVDs for them had to be great.

My little ones had a blast with this kids yoga DVD, in fact they have done yoga a few times a week since receiving this DVD. I have found this product offers a little bit of everything. It has a great story to it, that keeps the little ones interested in what is going on. A great story is always a plus in our home with the kids. If there is a great storyline than my kids are all for it. The story has great cartoons about what animals they are portraying in the yoga moves and also they learn a little bit about the animals. Which makes this yoga DVD educational as well.

The moves aren't overly hard just prefect for little ones to be able to do. Some of the moves in adult yoga videos' can be pretty hard until you get the hang of them. That is why I am so happy that the moves in the kids yoga dvd is just prefect for their age. Which allows them to really participate in the DVD and also at the same time staying limber and healthy. 

The instructor is great with little ones. He really gets into their world and becomes one with them but at the same time still portraying an instructor. He is really good at describing what they are going to do next which helps little ones not get overly confused.

Another thing I found that I really loved about this was the fact that when my kids start to get a little hyper I just pop in the DVD and it really helps calm them down. With both of my kids having ADHD this is a great product for helping them calm down and focus.

I have them do this about two or three times a week, as if I were doing my yoga. They sometimes just pick one story they want to do or sometimes they will do both. They are both having a blast of course my little girl does it a lot more. I do think if there was one out there that had something to do with vehicles he would be more then happy to stay with it. As for my little girl she is a huge animal lover anyways so this is perfect for her.
